A Half Term Less Ordinary



The Regent Theatre is delighted to be involved in a brand new Arts Council England initiative "A Night Less Ordinary" making free theatre tickets available to young people under the age of 26. In the week that the scheme is launched we are celebrating with a range of workshops and backstage tours, detailed below.

WORKSHOPS ON STAGE AT THE VICTORIA HALL
Fun, inspiring, imagination stretching and confidence building, AND a chance to meet other children who love performing arts! Workshops are for young people ages 10-14 with or without previous experience. Parents/family will be invited to see 'work in progress' at the end of the day.

Thursday 19th and Friday 20th February at 2.30pm (lasts 1hour)

Do you think opera is not for you?

Then think again and join our professional singer and musician for a workshop suitable for ages 10-14, with or without singing experience. The workshop will explore the dynamics of opera singing in a fun and accessible way.

Youth Opera Tasters are a project commissioned by Make Some Noise; managed and delivered by Stoke on Trent Theatres. Make Some Noise believes music inspires young people and for many it is also a catalyst for positive change. Make Some Noise, the Youth Music Action Zone for Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, explores innovative approaches that work towards better access to high quality music for young people.
