Great start to SoundProof in Stoke PRU!

Since 2007, Make Some Noise programme SoundProof has gone from strength to strength. Now for 2010 the programme has started in Stoke-on-Trent based MERIT Pupil Referral Unit. MERIT PRU provides part-time education to support children and young people in Stoke-on-Trent who are unable to attend their mainstream school due to a medical need.

The sessions so far have been positively received with Julie McBride, Head Teacher for MERIT commenting:

“The sessions have been great so far with a mixed age Key Stage 3 group. Total engagement and enjoyment from the start with an immediate sense of achievement. Chris and Jonny were an instant hit and the pupils have rated the programme 10 out of 10.”

Our SoundProof programme delivers Bronze Level 1 Arts Award accredited music sessions using creative music technology for young people aged 11 to 18 in Pupil Referral Units, Children in Care, accessing Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services or at risk of being N.E.E.T.
