Just Add Music! was delivered by Beavers Arts & implemented projects & activities through-out Staffordshire.

One main focus of the work was promoting musical activity among asylum seekers & refugees in the Stoke on Trent / Newcastle area. Another important area of focus was delivering music creation-based projects to more isolated & rural areas of Staffordshire (project title - Outer Limits).

The project was jointly funded by Children's Fund & was broken into four main strands and worked with participants to develop skills in carnival & street music, creating, producing & recording songs & soundtracks (particularly to complement video and visual work), & creating / recording traditional folk/ethnic music.

These workshops were delivered over six months, with around 18 different community groups at 14 venues across Blurton. On Sat 9th August 2003, 150 people turned out to parade through the streets of Blurton.
