Strum it, Bash it and ICT it

Strum it, Bash it and ICT it! is a project commissioned by Make Some Noise. It is managed and delivered by Stoke City Music and Performing Arts Service. The programme targets family groups who are not currently involved in musical activity and is forging links with community centres across the Stoke.


Features:

  • Delivers a series of one off half-day workshops. 
  • The workshops will also use other relevant software tailor made to different age groups.
  • Led by an instrumental teacher and a Music and IT tutor who has RARPA training and experience.

Benefits:

  • Provides musical activity in areas that have little or no access to other musical provision. 
  • The combination of music and ICT includes the use of the Gig-a-Jam programme, allowing participants to be hands on with various musical instruments including; electronic drums, electric guitar, electric bass and keyboards. 
  • Offers the opportunity for experimentation with improvisation and composition skills.
