Up Beat (0-4)

Up Beat is a new programme of activities provided by the collaborative team of two former projects; Sing Up Burton and Tiny Arts. The provision falls into two catagories. Activity targeted at 9mnth-4yrs and targeted at First & Primary School - both detailed below.

Our Music & Movement sessions for children aged 9 months - 4 years and their parents can be found in the following venues across East Staffordshire:
  • St Michael's Parish Church Rocester
  • Hill Street Health Centre, Stapenhill, Uttoxeter
  • Pentecostal Church
  • Queen Street Community Centre, Burton upon Trent
  • Barton under Needwood Village Hall
  • Stretton Springs Children's Centre

Features:
  • Provides movement, dance, singing and music making activities for parents/carers and their very young children to enjoy together.
  • Encourages families to take activities into their own home to enjoy as part of their daily routine

  • Features enjoyable and educational singing, music and movement based activities.
  • Provides guidance from experienced workshop leaders.

We also provide workshops in First Schools and Primary Schools across the borough of East Staffordshire

  • Song writing workshops for children in transition
  • Workshops exploring song and dance from different cultures and traditions
  • Singing to support playground activities and the curriculum
  • Song and dance to promote healthy living
  • Activities for parents/carers and children together
  • Training opportunities to lead inspirational singing activities with young people
  • Whole family and the whole community singing
