Young people given the opportunity to access creative music technology

Young people in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent classified as NEET (Not In Education, Employment or Training) are being given a variety of opportunities before they leave school. To help them decide what they may like to do in the future, local organisation, ‘Be Staffordshire’, has commissioned Make Some Noise to run the SoundProof workshops as part of the ESF funded Activ8 programme. SoundProof helps young people who face a variety of challenges express themselves through music and learn valuable transferrable skills. All the young people go through the Arts Award Level 1 (Bronze) accreditation process.

The workshop details are 8 weeks in Tamworth during November and December, 8 weeks in Burton from February to March, 8 weeks in Stoke on Trent from March to May 2010.
