| Make Some Music |
The sessions on our project 'Make Some Music' have occurred (see details below) and we had a successful day at the SPEAK OUT conference. We were able to enter an item into the Citizenship Through Music Competition being run by the LSDA (Learning Skills Development Agency). You can listen to some of the tracks from Speakout at the Jukebox section of our website.
The young people worked with Si Waite to do a run through as well as at the conference, with him, Studio Q, and Gary Oliver of Verbal Arts. Please note that Micaela Schmitz has finished her contract with Make Some Noise. We hope the Youth Liaison Post will be filled in the coming months. Speak Out Conference
Speakout was a conference for young people in Staffordshire on Sunday, 2 October 2005. The theme this year was 'Time to Think'. Young people met to discuss important issues like:
- Mental Health
- Multiculturalism
- Community Safety
- Alternative EducationCitizenship Through Music Competition
It's time to 'Make Some Music'
Make Some Noise offered young people aged between 16 & 19 the opportunity to get involved in songwriting, studio music, learning how to professionally lay down some tracks and the chance to even record your song on CD.
